Dan's Diner is an all-day breakfast restaurant in
Dharmawangsa, South Jakarta, and the sister
brand of Dan's Burgers. It was born from a deep
appreciation for classic American diner culture —
a place guests return to not just for the food, but
for the feeling of being at home, especially those
who have lived in, traveled through, or long for
America. I handled the full branding scope: the
logo, illustrations, and every touchpoint it lives on—mugs, plates, uniforms, guest checkbooks, menus, and outdoor signage.
The identity takes its cues from the great
American roadside — the glowing signs,
breakfast counters, and hand-lettered marquees
of diners from the 1950s to the '70s. Rather than
recreating the past, the goal was to capture its
warmth in a way that still feels current: familiar
without being kitsch.
